CAD 3D Designer/Regulatory Administrator

Northern Marine Co., LLC, an Anacortes WA luxury yacht manufacturer,
seeks CAD 3D Designer/Regulatory Administrator.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the creation and tracking of engineering and
design drawings for vessels manufactured at Northern Marine.
Translation of engineering concepts and specifications into working 2D
and 3D drawings and models suitable for efficient manufacturing and
regulatory approval in accordance with applicable standards. Liaise with
regulatory agencies and administer transactions to ensure that designs
are documented and approved in a timely manner. Coordinate with
co-workers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of
accurate information. Possess a high level of technical competency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Working as a member of the engineering team, exercise personal
initiative, judgment and analytical capabilities to find and develop
sound engineering solutions to common design and manufacturing problems
associated with yacht design and construction.
2. Liaise with co-workers, subcontractors and vendors to create
high-quality design, production and as-built drawings in a timely
manner.
3. Perform quality assurance and documentation functions to ensure
proper document control is maintained. In conjunction with
designers/engineers and the department manager, confirm that designs are
suitable for the intended purpose and fully comply with applicable
standards, specifications and regulatory requirements (ABS, MCA, ASTM,
etc)
4. Independently administer regulatory body transactions by
preparing submitals, responding to comments and obtaining regulatory
approval (ABS, MCA) under general guidance from the engineering manager.
5. Maintain accurate records and update drawing/design evolutions
and "as-built" information.
6. Strive to improve the effectiveness of the engineering
department as a whole by subscribing to a philosophy of "life-long
learning". Actively seek to improve skills by keeping abreast of
developments in your field with emphasis on the 2D and 3D software
platforms used at Northern Marine and regulatory body rules and
regulations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Completion of community college, technical school or engineering
program in a related discipline

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Proficiency in advanced 3D design and modeling involving complex
curves applied to surfaces and solids, parametric modeling, component
authoring, and integration of manufactured/purchased part libraries.
AutoCAD and UGS NX platform experience in a TeamCenter environment
preferred

3D AutoCAD Detailer

ImagiCorps, an Exhibit design and fabrication company in Redmond Washington is seeking a 3D Modeler/CAD Detailer with a minimum of 2+ years experience in utilizing AutoCAD in 3d environments. Successful candidates will have experience in utilizing AutoCAD for exhibits or cabinet making. The candidate must also be able to manage and work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities. Experience with SolidWorks, 3D Studio Max and/or the Adobe Suite strongly preferred.

AutoCAD drafter/detailer

Summary of Responsibilities:

· Construct 3D models in AutoCAD,

· Create construction documentation (shops) drawings for submittal

· Make drawing revisions per Project Manager’s direction

· Create fabrication drawings from renderings, 3D models (from different CAD programs),

and hand sketches

· Direct (hands on) approach to manufacturing/fabrication of all of our products (prototype
or production)

· Coordinate with all internal departments and project managers to fulfill manufacturability
of products within budget parameters

· Confers with project team members to clarify or resolve problems and develop design

· Coordinate installation with General Contractors and trades associated with the
construction industry

Summary of Requirements:

· 4+ years related AutoCAD experience

· Must be able to read & interpret architectural drawings

· Estimate from architectural drawings and plans

· Strong problem solving and decision making skills

· Organized and detail orientated

· Comfortable with working on fluid timelines

· Ability to adapt to client changes

· Can work with minimal supervision

· Excellent communication skills and a TEAM player

· Proficiency with business software (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Structural CADD Designers/Detailers

SR 520 FLOATING BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND HOV
DESIGN PROJECT OPPORTUNITIES

Challenging project seeks dynamic professionals immediately!

Parametrix, a premiere Pacific NW engineering, construction management, planning and environmental sciences consulting firm, is seeking full-time professionals to join our Seattle, WA project office in support of the world-class WSDOT SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Project. This unique project will result in a six-lane SR 520 corridor replacement from I-5 to just west of I-405. The east-west corridor will have four general-purpose lanes and two HOV lanes (currently HOV lanes only run east of the floating bridge). The project will replace all existing bridges including the Portage Bay Bridge and Evergreen Point floating bridge with new, safer bridges that are designed to withstand earthquakes and windstorms.

This multi-year, dynamic project is seeking STRUCTURAL CADD DESIGNERS/DETAILERS to generate structural plan, section and detail drawings of bridges and transportation structures and to interact directly with project engineering staff to assist in resolving design related issues. The main focus of this position is on structural steel and concrete detailing and drafting. The position will require performance of non-routine and complex drafting assignments using WSDOT CADD standards while applying standardized drawing techniques and project CADD standards. Qualified candidates will have an Associate or technical school degree (or equivalent experience); 6+ years related work experience; 1+ year experience in Microstation and ProjectWise; experience working in 3D; InRoads Bridge experience a plus. Candidates must have the ability to multi-task; strong QA/QC skills; be driven towards superior client service; and work independently while exhibiting excellent communication and collaboration skills.
